ADAGIO FOR STRINGS remix. Original works by the American composer Samuel Barber. This is his best known composition because of its use in a number of films, most notably in Oliver Stone's 1986 academy award winning, Platoon. Now popular after being remixed by William Orbit, and it made it on the club scene when the remix was remixed by Ferry Corsten. Sadly Mr Barber died in 1981, aged 71 years, never having the experience of being packed into a warehouse with 900 others, jumping up and down to his music, without a shirt on. I think he would have enjoyed it. I'm sure he would have been very proud.

Listen to the original composition HERE!
