GETTING
THEM
The two most
common ways that you can potentially expose your web browser
to malicious scripts are:
1. Following untrusted links in web pages, email messages
or newsgroup postings.
2. Using interactive forms on untrustworthy sites.
AVOIDING THEM
You could set your browser to disable all scripting languages.
This will stop all scripts from running, malicious, friendly
and useful, too big a price to pay for most.
Set your pop-up blocker to High and add trustworthy web
sites to its trusted list, thus blocking all pop-ups on
web sites that you are visiting for the first time or
unwittingly.
If you use Outlook Express turn the Preview Pane off and
meticulously delete any mail that you receive from an
unknown source or with a suspect subject.
