IE4+ refers to version 4 of the INTERNET
EXPLORER browser software and every version
released since. Often referred to as IE
or MSIE, the current version is 6 and
IE7 was expected to be released during 2005 (don't hold
your breath). Developed by Microsoft, who had to be sucked
into the browser market with its bottom lip stuck out,
it quickly dominated the global market with a 97% share
by 2002. By January 2005 that dominance has been reduced
to 87%.
